UMC Children’s Emergency Center

The UMC Children's Emergency Center is just for kids, with access to more resuscitation and trauma rooms than anywhere in West Texas. UMC is designated as a Level 1 Trauma Center, and UMC Children's Hospital is a Pediatric Level 2 Trauma Center, with the region's only verified burn center for children.

Pediatric Trauma

Our partnership with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center allows Texas Tech's Department of Surgery to provide surgical care for our region's infants and children. Pediatric specialists include trauma surgeons, burn surgeons, neurosurgeons, and other critical care staff.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
